Eggs!

Hello,
I have been meaning to post this for a while now. Our chickens finally started laying eggs on Thanksgiving Day! I has been so exciting and delicious!
Here are some egg pictures!

This is a picture of the Large Barred Rock egg and the tiny White Silkie egg.

The small tan eggs are from the Wyandotte.

Snow Days

This past week we have had some snow here in Portland, which in Portland means no work! Here are some pictures of what we did with our time off.

We went snowboarding!


And I hung out with the chickens a lot.

Gifts

Today I finally got around to making some Christmas Gifts. I decided that this year I would make my lovely coteachers gifts instead of giving them something entirely useless that they would forget about in a matter of days (I don't think they know about the blog...I hope.) Yesterday I went to Joanne's Fabrics (They are having a terrific sale) and picked out some very cute fabric. Today, I went to town with the sewing machine and finished all three bags, without stopping for one little break. The snow outside and Johnpaul sleeping all day probably helped with the motivation.
