Happy Birthday Michelle!

In honor of Michelle's 30th birthday, we wanted to share 30 things you should know about Michelle.

1. Michelle was born with SUPER blonde hair.
2. By her seventh birthday all she could think about was purple and ponies and sometimes, purple ponies.
3. Michelle has ALWAYS been a gardener.
4. Michelle is on Team Edward.
5. By the age of 3 Michelle had watched Annie a million times and knew all the words to The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow. We have some awesome video of this.
6. When we were little, Michelle came up with a plan to use the walkie talkies in our bedrooms when we went to bed....that got us in A LOT of trouble.
7. Michelle's #1 dreamboat is John K. Samson.
8. Michelle went through a pretty severe Bob Marley phase, minus the weed.
9. Michelle refused to wear jeans until she was 8 or 9 years old.
10. Art has always been important to Michelle.
11. Michelle likes food, especially fancy food, especially fancy Indian food.
12. Michelle is a chicken farmer.
13. She loves Curb Your Enthusiasm.
14. Michelle was born on June 7, 1980 in Bend, Oregon.
15. Michelle once got a hickey from a baby deer.
16. Water parks, water slides, and swimming pools make Michelle smile.
17. Michelle makes some of her own clothes.
18. Michelle used to work at a feed store, Albertsons, a preschool, at a Mercedes dealership, as a nanny, and at a nursery.
19. Michelle played softball. She pitched, played first base and swung a mean bat.
20. Michelle has been to the city that never sleeps.
21. If you don't get Michelle an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen for her birthday, she will be so disappointed.
22. Michelle is a tea connoisseur.
23. Michelle spent a lovely, sunny day hearing Barack Obama speak in Portland.
24. Michelle has been spending the last term painting bridge after bridge after bridge...and they are awesome!
25. Michelle used to raise rabbits in 4-H.

29. Michelle has two lovely little lady dogs.
30. Tomorrow is Michelle's 30th birthday and we wish her the very happiest day ever!!!!!

9:30 -
Ashawnta and I make a plan for grilled cheese sandwiches on Wednesday! I can't wait.

Zupan's stops by for a visit. He is so cute!

Se-ah-dom stops by to check in to say hello.

12:30-
I get home to meet dad.

1:30-
We just finish up our pizza eating at Start Street Pizza.

2:30 -
We run into my dear friend Kermit.
3:30-
Sitting around with Dad some more.

4:30-
Dad is on his way back home. Ben and I hop in the car.5:30-
On an evening hike with the Pups.

6:30-
We are back home and Daisy is ready to relax for the night.

10 on the 10!! -April

So for today's 10 on the 10th, I am going to use my cell phone camera because it took me until noonish to locate the other camera. Enjoy!

8:00 AM -
I start working my homework. These are my pigment sticks. I am using the to create 4 huge bridge drawings/paintings.

9:00 AM -
I am just finishing up my 3rd bridge. I have been working on it for just over a week.

10:00 AM -
I go check on our new baby chicks. They are Cuckoo Marans...They will lay dark brown eggs. I will post pictures in about 6 months.

11:00 AM -
I just spent the last hour thinking about the 4th bridge project. Time for a break. I go back out to visit the lovely Ms. Goldie.

1:00 PM -
We stop by Kettleman's and pick up lots of bagels for Tracey and me to eat. I can't wait for Tracey to get here.

2:00 PM -
We stop by Lewis & Clark to get a few things done, pick up the things that I have forgotten and run the pups a little.

3:00 PM -
We stop by Mike's on the way home for Lunch/Dinner. Greasy and delicious.

4:00 PM -
Take some bridge photos. I have chosen to do the Springwater Trail Pedestrian bridge. Although I love this photo, I am drawing from a different one.

7:00 PM -
So, for the past few hours I was doing more drawing homework. I get super focused when I do this and I didn't take any photos. So my last picture is of Daisy at the awesome Banfield dog park.

I am very quickly heading across campus for my math class. I always make with seconds to spare.

My walk back from class. I love Witchhazel, it reminds me that winter won't last forever. We are nearing the end! YAY!

Stuck in the most ridiculous meeting. I get to do this every Wednesday. I am so lucky!

12:00 PM

Today is a fun free lunch day! Yay! I love when LC feeds me. Makes me so happy. This is Ashley and some guy that is making a crazy face...I have no idea who he is.

Headed back to Rogers, Juleen and Ashley have pretty umbrellas.

Ashley is leaving me behind and going to an appointment.

At 6:00, I was looking at records, trying to figure out what music to choose for my art project that I am working on.

Shrinky Dink Necklaces

10 on the 10th

Ok here goes, 10 on the 10th for January.

9:00 AM -
I finally roll out of bed for some tea.

10:00 AM -
I begin working on my project for the craft fair. I am making recycled plastic shrinky dink necklaces. Here they are before going into the oven.

11:00 AM -
I am just finishing up the necklaces. They turned out awesome. Hopefully people will want to buy them.

12:00 PM -
Daisy & Stella need to run. We head to the park by our house.

1:00 PM -
I decide to head outside and plant a few tulip bulbs that I still have sitting around. Although they are in pretty bad shape at this point, I think they just might make it.

2:00 PM -
Time to get the house cleaned up. This actually took a few hours, but I thought that one photo of house work would be enough for everyone.

5:00 PM -
I start working on getting thing organized, pay bills, make lists...boring!

6:00 PM -
I eat a fantastic TJ's Carrot Cake muffin (I like to consider these muffins, they have fruit and veggies). It was awesome.

7:00 PM -
Dinner...I had intended to take a picture before I started eating, but got distracted and forgot. It was pasta and it was very tasty.

8:00 PM -
The lovely Daisy waiting for some attention. I am cleaning some more.

9:00 PM -
Last, I am laying in bed, working on 10 on the 10th, watching BSG: The Plan. I'm going to have to re-watch it later cause I am not paying close enough attention.

10 on the 10th!!

I am SUPER excited to be posting on our blog...it has been a while.
I finally remembered to do 10 on the 10th yesterday. It was a really great busy day!

In the wee hours of the morning, Ben arrived home from work and brought with him a Papa Haydn's Dessert for both of us. This is the White Chocolate Mint Torte, one of my favorites.

Once we woke up, we went grocery shopping. Boring.
Mid-morning, I had some hummus and pita bread for brunch.
Then Ben and I took the VW in to get our snow tires put on. Winter Sucks!
Then in the afternoon, on my way to campus I saw this beautiful thing! It was so awesome.

I went to campus, and first thing, grabbed a very awful tasting Chai from the Dovecoat. It was still worth it because it kept me warm while I walked around.

On my way back across campus, I found this. I had never seen it before. It is pretty.
Once I got home, I decided to finally use the all the fruit that people have been nice enough to give us this fall. I made Apple (thanks to Morgan and Laura), Pear (thanks to Stef, Alan, and Ellen), and Persimmon (thanks to Marjorie) Sauce. I haven't had a chance to eat any of it yet, but I am sure that it will be tasty!

Then we went to Andina for Ben's Birthday dinner. It was wonderful!
And last here is Ben modeling one of his birthday gifts, a new t-shirt.
